TWO DOORS. PICK THE ONE THAT FITS.

One is for the emergency that started twenty minutes ago. The other is for the coverage you are planning for next quarter. Both reach us.

Before you call

THE QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED MOST.

WHEN DOES THE CODE ACTUALLY REQUIRE A FIRE WATCH?

Broadly, when a fire alarm system is out of service more than 4 hours in a 24-hour period, or a water-based system such as sprinklers, standpipes or a fire pump is out more than 10 hours. A watch is also required when the fire marshal orders one, during hot work, and often for the duration of construction. Your authority having jurisdiction can be stricter — theirs is the number that counts.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CLASS D AND A CLASS G OFFICER?

Florida Class D is the unarmed security officer license. Class G is the statewide firearm license. An officer must hold it in addition to the D to work armed, and it carries recurring requalification. Both are issued by the state and both are publicly verifiable.

WHAT DOES THE FIRE MARSHAL EXPECT TO SEE IN THE LOG?

A continuous, handwritten record: each round, the time, the areas covered, and confirmation that they were found clear — with no gaps. The log is the document that proves the watch happened. It is signed, timed, and handed to your manager at the end of every shift.

HOW FAST CAN YOU PUT AN OFFICER ON POST?

Fire watch is on post within two to four hours anywhere in Broward or Miami-Dade. Planned coverage is scheduled after a walkthrough of the property, which usually happens within a day of the call.

WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?

The owner or the operations manager. Not a call center, not an answering service, and not a callback in the morning — somebody who can confirm what your occupancy requires and commit officers on that call.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

Broward and Miami-Dade — Fort Lauderdale south to Brickell. We do not take work we cannot cover properly, and we do not subcontract the work we take.
